Masque of the Zombie Robot

The virus has spread across the globe. Death and fear of death have created an atmosphere of dread and mistrust. In the end the resulting economic impact could create more chaos and destruction than the disease it'self. (it won't, but it sounds impressive) Are you afraid? You most likely are not, in fact you may be more annoyed than futurist of the twentieth century would have predicted. The media is stumbling along with an assortment of talking heads broadcasting from their broom closets, basement, and garages with bad backdrops, poor audio quality, improper use of makeup, and bad lighting. The information must get delivered by recognizable personalities, or else it probably isn't marketable. We now have mixed messages adding to the confusion; Don't go out - yes do go out...Wha...

Fear of The D4rk

With ominous predictions of 100,000 to 200,000 deaths in the US alone, and the worst possibly ramping up in the next few weeks, many people are starting to experience feelings of dread. Life has been altered into an almost nightmarish state. For those who have been personally affected by the virus, the nightmare is all too real. It’s the people who move things, make things, fix things, maintain things, process things. The situation now has many of your companies (the people) no longer in the office or buildings, but working from home. In some cases, not even working, just not at work. Luckily your company still has long digital tentacles that can somewhat tether your workforce together through often meaningless conference calls and possibly poorly animated web-based meetings, (hooray for extra-long PowerPoint presentations) but this approach does have limitations. Monitor...

For Those About To Get Locked Down – We Salute You

Maybe you’re already locked down where you are, or you soon will be. The world has changed, life for a great many has changed, everything is different now whether you realize it or not. How you deal with these changes may not be under your control. Hopefully it is, and all this chaos becomes a faded memory a year from now. For now, it is right in front of us, and some outcomes may not be too pleasant. It's one thing to be told that you can work from home, it's another thing to be told that you can't leave your home - of course, there are a few necessary traveling limitations which would allow some movement between sites providing essential services. Those who provide or support these essential services will be allowed to commute to their work locations - for now, provided they don'...

Do NOT shutdown your remote computer If you need to restart for updates or are just done working for the day and you are working on a remote computer then DO NOT SHUTDOWN. If you do, hopefully, there are still some employees on location that would turn it on for you.
